Do you accept Medicaid? Do you accept Medicare?

Yes, we proudly accept Medicaid and Medicare, and offer affordable, high-quality healthcare services to individuals and families covered under Medicaid and Medicare plans in North Carolina.

What should I bring to my first visit?

For your first visit, please bring a photo ID, your Medicaid or insurance card (if applicable), and any medical records or medications you are currently taking. This helps us give you the best care possible from the start.

How can I schedule an appointment?

You can easily schedule an appointment by calling us directly, using our online patient portal, or visiting our website. We offer flexible hours to fit your schedule.

How do you ensure my privacy and security?

We take your privacy seriously. All patient information is stored securely through our HIPAA-compliant patient portal, and we follow strict guidelines to ensure your medical records are protected.

Pediatrics & Family Care

What is a well-child visit, and why is it important?

A well-child visit is an important check-up where we assess your child’s growth, development, and overall health. It’s a chance to catch any health concerns early and ensure your child stays on track with immunizations and screenings.

Do you offer telemedicine or virtual visits?

Yes! We understand that sometimes it’s easier to connect from home. Galatians Community Health offers telemedicine appointments for some services, so you can talk to your provider without leaving the house. Call us to see if a virtual visit is right for you.

What should I do if I feel sick and need to see a doctor urgently?

If you're feeling sick and need to be seen quickly, call our office to let us know. We try to accommodate urgent care needs and will schedule you as soon as possible. We also offer same-day appointments when available.

Can I walk in for an appointment?

We accept walk-in patients based on availability, but we recommend calling ahead or using our online scheduling tool to book an appointment. This helps ensure we have the time and resources to give you the care you need.

What if I have a chronic condition?

Managing chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, or asthma is an important part of our care. We offer regular check-ups, personalized care plans, and the education and resources you need to manage your condition effectively. Our goal is to keep you feeling your best and to prevent complications over time.

Women's Health & Birth Control

What types of birth control do you offer?

We offer a range of birth control options, including IUDs, Nexplanon, and Depo shots, all aimed at giving you the flexibility and control over your health. Our team can help you choose the best option for your needs.

Do you provide prenatal care?

Although we do not offer OB services, Galatians Community Health provides comprehensive prenatal care. We emphasize early prenatal visits to ensure you and your baby stay healthy. It is important to get in as soon as you find out you're pregnant. Our team will guide you through every step of your pregnancy, from routine check-ups to educational resources.

Appointment & Scheduling

How do I access my medical records?

You can access your medical records through our secure online patient portal, where you can view your health history, appointments, and message your care team directly.

How early should I show up to my appointment?

Our providers care deeply and use every second to focus on you. When you're late, that time disappears—and it delays care for everyone else. Be here 15 minutes early so we can check you in, update your info, and make every minute count.

Running tight? Let’s talk about a virtual visit instead.

If I’m scheduling appointments for more than one child, can they all be seen at the same time?

Each child needs their own individual appointment—even if you’re bringing multiple kids in on the same day. Our providers want to give each child the full attention and care they deserve. Please don’t wait until the last time slot expecting all your kids will be seen together—it won’t work that way. And remember: show up 15 minutes early for each appointment to handle any paperwork or updates.

What should I do if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

Life happens—just let us know. Please call us at least 24 hours ahead if you need to cancel or reschedule. That way, we can offer the time to another patient who needs care.

What if I need to see a specialist?

If you need specialized care, our team will work with you to make appropriate referrals. We partner with specialists in the area and can help you navigate the process, ensuring you get the care you need.
